Playstation 3 Review

It's been awhile since i bought a PS 3 and now it's time to review it..
As seen on the picture that's what we're talking about..Well i bought it for RM 2300 in some package from Kuala Lumpur..

What is in the package?
1. PS 3 Console (well..basically it comes with one Sixaxis Wireless Controller, AV cable, power cable, USB cable)

2. Another Sixaxis Wireless Controller

3. 2 Games (Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 - Advanced Warfighter & Ridge Racer 7)

4. HDMI cable

5. Traveling Bag for PS 3

Alright, enough for that crap..let's get started..
What can i say about this machine? it is really packed with features and it is the most high tech game consolei ever owned. It has a 60 GB hard disk for data storage, Wi-fi function, bluetooth, 4 USB ports, RJ45 port for LAN, HDMI for high definition gaming, Slots for various type of media storage cards, Blu-Ray rom.

60GB hard disk, obviously for storage purpose and this monster can view pictures, listen to music, watch video in some formats, can create a virtual memory card for PS 2/PS1.

The Wi-fi and wired LAN basically are for the internet function as it has it's own internet browser, play games online on the Playstation Network or LAN games with another PS3 (Never Tried).

With the given AV cables in the basic package, it is not enough if you want high resolution gaming. There are obvious difference when i tried the AV cable and HDMI cable on my LCD TV. The result i get for AV cable was quite bad as it only supports the lowest resolution while the HDMI cable shows good result by supporting the highest resolution 1080..

With 4 USB port, USB cable can be used to charge the Sixaxis Wireless Controller. It also can be used for keyboard( Maybe mouse perhaps?). I have tried to use my external hard disk with it as i have some movies and mp3s in it but nothing came out. Does this means it can't play music and videos and view pictures? Well, the answer is no..

What i liked about the PS3 was the Blu-Ray rom. Cos Blu-ray player nowadays still not that common and it costs alot to buy one. Apart from that, PS3 games will work in any PS3 regardless the region. With the PS3, from gaming to videos, then to pictures, finally Blu-ray/DVD movies. For PS3 games, discs from any region will work on the machine while PS2/PS1 discs follows the region, in this case its region 3. For movies, there are no region for the Blu-ray disc while DVDs region 3 or all region disc. Forgot to mention, the PS3 unit here is region 3 from Singapore as PS3 was not officially released in Malaysia.

Games that i have ======>
Top 2 games are region 3 games while bottom 2 games are region 2 games.

Region 2 & 3 PS3 Games

All i can say is this machine is the ultimate all in one machine for gaming!

New Life

It's been a week in Plymouth, UK and life is quite boring here...
So...I decided to start this blog so that when i'm really bored i can spend my time writing...

Nothing much i can write but i'll briefly share last week's journey.
As soon as i arrived in the UK, my brother meet up with me in London and we have some Chinese food. Then we took the train to Plymouth...

Last Sunday my brother brought me to watch him play football in the local league around here..amusingly...they were leading 4-2 and it end up with some last minutes goals resulting to a draw...they almost lost the game...they could easily win it but they can't hold on to the lead as always..same with previous games...

Worked for 2 days last week and it's really tiring cos i'm not ready yet...so i took a week leave..

Yesterday went to The Hoe, some extreme idiots, probably 12-18 yr olds jumping off the cliffs to the waters..around 2-4 storeys high..what are they thinking? what if there were rocks down there in the water? i watched it till my legs shaking...LoL...also thinks that they are really amusing...

Tomorrow starts the induction week, will show me around the campus in more detail...

That's all for this post..Nothing much to write yet as i slowly explore this city, so i'll update the blog as soon as possible with pictures and new stuff...
